About You & Your Role:

As Wallaroo.AI’s first Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in driving revenue by following up on inbound leads from the marketing team, as well as outbounding to target accounts, qualifying contacts, and setting appointments for the Sales team.

Because you love rolling up your sleeves and jumping in with two feet, you will work cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing to follow-up on and go after leads, articulating how Wallaroo.AI can help resolve client pain points and achieve their goals.

You will identify and validate potential customer’s pain points, picking up technologies quickly and developing a deep understanding of artificial intelligence (AI). As you gain knowledge on the intersection of our target buyer needs and Wallaroo.AI’s value proposition, you will articulate what we do and how it can help potential buyers. Additionally, you will respond quickly and appropriately to inbound leads, and will craft compelling outbound messaging in a timely manner, using LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Google, personalizing all interactions. This role will report directly to our VP of Marketing.

Must Haves:

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales, business or lead development role in technology
  • An existing understanding of basic artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment with ambiguity where you are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven success in prospecting and lead qualification
  • Experience using HubSpot, Salesforce, or other CRMs
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive, self-starter mentality
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work remotely across multiple time zones as well as cross functionally across Marketing and Sales
